President of the USA, Donald Trump, recently issued a ban on immigrants from 7 predominantly Muslim countries, including Syria, Iran and Yemen. Kuwait has now followed suit, issuing a visa ban on immigrants from 5 mainly Muslim countries.
The 5 affected countries are Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Iran. Kuwait will also prevent passport holders from these nations from entering the country.
Donald Trump’s immigration Executive Order was met with international outrage. Kuwait, and other Gulf states have heavily funded Islamist groups in Syria, turning Syria into a hotbed from radical Islam.
