Peshmerga

BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:42 P.M.) – The German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel in a visit to the Kurdistan Region on Thursday said that the German government will not send new weapons to the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, ARA News reported.

The Minister however did reaffirm that his country would remain committed to continuing the training Kurdish fighters with 150 German soldiers.

Since September 2014, Germany has reportedly sent more than 2,000 tons of weapons in more than 30 shipments, ARA News revealed.

This announcement comes as the US State Department approved a possible sale of military equipment to the Peshmerga to an estimated cost of $295.6 million according to Rudaw.

So the Germans finally figured it out that while they donate the weapons to Kurds, the Muricans are making a big money out of it…
