BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) do not plan on giving up their territories along the Turkish-Syrian border that easy; instead, they have vowed to fight off the Turkish military and their allies that seek to expel them some 30km south of the border region.
According to the Syrian Democratic Forces, they have sent a large number of reinforcements to the Ras Al-‘Ayn and Tal Abyad fronts in order to resist the Turkish Army attacks on these strategic border cities.
While the SDF reinforcements reportedly arrived last night, the Turkish Army and their allied militants have managed to capture several sites over the last few hours, including the town of Tal Halaf, which is located just west of Ras Al-‘Ayn.
In fact, minutes ago, the Turkish Army announced that their troops captured the small town of Asfar Najar, which is located just east of Tal Halaf.
The Turkish Army has now secured the western outskirts of Ras Al-‘Ayn as the situation continues to worsen for the Syrian Democratic Forces and their allies from the People’s Protection Units (YPG).
