BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) will be withdrawing from the city of Manbij by July 4th, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday.
Cavusoglu told CNN Turk that the withdrawal of the YPG forces by July 4th is part of the agreed upon roadmap to end the Manbij crisis.
Since the U.S. and Turkey made this agreement, the Turkish military has moved towards Manbij, but they have yet to enter the city.
With the Turkish military just outside of Manbij, the U.S. Army has begun patrolling the streets of this city in northeastern Aleppo.
