BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:25 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) recaptured a town in the northern part of the Afrin Canton, today, after briefly losing it to the Turkish-backed rebels.
According to pro-YPG activists, their forces recaptured the town of Qarneh, which is located inside the strategic district of Bulbul in northern Afrin.
In addition to recapturing the town, the Kurdish-led forces also killed several Turkish-backed rebels and seized their equipment this afternoon.
Among the dead Turkish-backed rebels was a field commander that previously led the assault on the town.
