DAMASCUS, SYRIA (10:20 P.M.) – A string of new advances were secured on Saturday by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which intensified its counter-insurgency operations in the northern city of Raqqa.

Despite the presence of some 2,500 jihadist militants in the provincial capital, the SDF took control over Sina’ah and the cemetery area on the northeastern perimeter of the city.

Meanwhile, an Islamic State suicide bomber blasted the newly liberated Division 17 Army Base, resulting in heavy clashes at the facility which nevertheless remained in Kurdish hands on Saturday evening despite the ISIS counter-attack.

However, the largest SDF gains today were achieved on the northwestern axis where the SDF entered their third neighborhood, namely the Romaniah suburb. In addition, Kurdish assault troops captured the nearby Equestrian City and the Electrical substation.

Heavy clashes continue across Raqqa city as we speak with US warplanes showing no mercy to the Islamic State nor civilians living under its control as white phosphorous airstrikes are being conducted in mass.

In related news, the US-backed SDF downed an armed ISIS drone which has been used to deadly effect in the not so distant past:

There are only civilians there. Massive ethnic cleansing and eradication of the native Arab Raqqa population. The order is: “No civilians have to live to testify that in fact this is mass genocide of civilians.”

😀 Typical ME attitude : accusing your enemy of the crimes YOU are willing to do. This also means that his gang is willing to genocide the Kurds, so do all the IS/AKP/Muslim Brotherhook/Qaeda fanboys, how surprising… Look how the roaches are lying now, trying to pass smokescreen shells for aerial incendiary bombs. Even AMN ate this bullshitting. They tried the same bias in Mosul, nevertheless, it changes nothing : These cowards hide behind civilians and use them as human shields, trying to charges their own crimes on those here to stop it. Deo Cass is visibly one of their… Read more »
