BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:15 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their eastward advance in Al-Raqqa, liberating more sites from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists near the Raqqa-Deir Ezzor Highway.
Backed by U.S. Coalition airstrikes, the Syrian Democratic Forces attacked a number of sites in eastern Al-Raqqa, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy forces.
According to the SDF’s official media wing, their forces liberated the Ahmad Assad Silos located some 40km east of Raqqa City after clashing with the Islamic State terror organization on Thursday.
As a result of this advance on Thursday, the Kurdish-led forces are on the verge of cutting off the Islamic State’s imperative supply line from the Deir Ezzor Governorate to the provincial capital of Al-Raqqa.
