BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:55 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) will capture Raqqa City from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization, Major General Rupert Jones of the U.S. Anti-ISIS Coalition said on Friday, as reported by the ARA News Agency.

“The force that looks most likely capable to conduct the liberation of Raqqa remains the SDF. Are we confident in the SDF? Absolutely we are,” ARA News reported the British commander stating.

This statement from the U.S. Coalition commander comes just days after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan claimed that his forces would go to Raqqa after Al-Bab.

Of all the forces in northern Syria, the SDF currently has the best shot at reaching Raqqa, given their large presence north of this Islamic State stronghold .

Your headline is clickbait. “looks most likely capable to” does NOT equal “Kurdish forces to liberate Raqqa”. We will have to wait and see. In any case, the most important thing first is to throw the terrorist Turkish army and their filthy jihadi scumbags out of Syria, or annihilate them.
