The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated more than half of Raqqa City after more than two months of being on the offensive against the Islamic State (ISIL), Ara News Agency reported.
Quoting the SDF’s official spokesperson, Talal Silo, Ara News claimed Talal Silo, the SDF’s official spokesman, said that their forces have liberated 60 percent of the city.
“Soon we will all celebrate the liberation of the city of Raqqa, this beautiful city that they [ISIS jihadists] made it the capital of terrorism and terrorists,” Brigadier Talal Silo said, as quoted by Ara News.
“The Syrian Democratic Forces love martyrdom and whoever loves martyrdom will inevitably be victorious,” he concluded.
