The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated more than half of Raqqa City after more than two months of being on the offensive against the Islamic State (ISIL), Ara News Agency reported.

Quoting the SDF’s official spokesperson, Talal Silo, Ara News claimed Talal Silo, the SDF’s official spokesman, said that their forces have liberated 60 percent of the city.

“Soon we will all celebrate the liberation of the city of Raqqa, this beautiful city that they [ISIS jihadists] made it the capital of terrorism and terrorists,” Brigadier Talal Silo said, as quoted by Ara News.

“The Syrian Democratic Forces love martyrdom and whoever loves martyrdom will inevitably be victorious,” he concluded.

Liar. They only fought against the narive local inhabitants since ISIS has long left Raqqa city. This is the full statement or better still imposition on the Raqqa tribes who by this US puppet: “There is no role for the Assad government and its institutions in the future of Raqqa.” And these foreign invasion US mercenaries want to call thenselves;”Syrian Democratic Forces.” Why don’t you let the tribes and the Raqqa people themselves decide in a vote if they want the sole legitimate democratically elected Assad government to have a role in tge future of Raqqa?
