BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 P.M.) – A Turkish soldier was killed during an ambush that was laid out by the Kurdish-led Afrin Liberation Forces this week.

According to the Kurdish group, their fighters ambushed a group of Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Turkish military soldiers between the Bastouta and Karzala areas.

Using an IED, the Afrin Liberation Forces were able to kill at least one Turkish soldier and three Free Syrian Army fighters during this ambush that took place on February 17th.

Another five soldiers were wounded as a result of this attack by the Afrin Liberation Forces, the report added.

One of the Turkish Army soldiers, Umut Oznutepe, reportedly succumbed to his wounds that were sustained during the attack.

Now that Bahguz has, more or less, been cleared, SDF promised to turn its attention to Afrin. Within the DMC are many shaitat fighters who have many reasons to go after IS that now has whole units incorporated in TFSA. Combined with many YPG fighters trained in guerilla tactics, sooon they will flood Afrin.
