DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:55 P.M.) – Over the past week weeks, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have funnelled some of their best snipers and assault troops from the neighboring provinces of Aleppo and Hasakah into the battle for Raqqa, looking to finish off the Islamic State once and for all inside its very own capital.
With over half the of city liberated already, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) pressed forth inside three ISIS-held neighborhoods in a renewed assault on Thursday.
According to a Kurdish source, heavy clashes took place inside the Mirur, Mansour and Nahda neighborhoods on the western axis of the city today, resulting in the death of 14 ISIS members, two of whom were snipers.

At the moment, ISIS militants inside Raqqa city are some 30 kilometers from their closest jihadist comrades; effectively, they are left no option but to surrender or die.
