Aleppo, Syria (9:40 A.M.) – The Kurdish-led “People’s Protection Units” (YPG), alongside the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), captured several villages from the Islamic State of iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) near the Tishreen Dam, local activists reported on Saturday morning.

The recent advance by the Kurdish-led forces in east Aleppo has agitated the Turkish regime, despite the fact  that the former is specifically expelling the Islamic State terrorists from the region.

With the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their allies in control of Jarabulus, the SDF and YPG have shifted their attention to the ISIS stronghold of Al-Bab, which is situated along a major Plateau in the Aleppo Governorate.

The purpose of their east Aleppo advance is to link their territory in northern Syria and eliminate the Islamic State threat that is still festering around the Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqa governorates.

SDF should first liberate as maxy vilages as they can close to border (maybe they should let firts vilages near border out so terorist can take them for Turks happyness. Al-Bab wont go enywhere. It would be better first to cut there suply routes from Raqqa with connecting theritory to SAA near airport.

The YPG Kurds shouldn’t be in Manbij or west of the Euphrates anyway, it’s Arab land with little Kurdish population or history. The PYD-YPG is using ISIS as an excuse to seize a large swathe of northern Syria, as part of an ethnic-political landgrab. They work in cahoots with Assad’s forces and have been fighting the Free Syrian Army in Aziz, so are not exactly popular with the resistance or the Arabs. If their main aim was really to fight ISIS, rather than carving out a fiefdom for the dodgy PYD, they should be advancing on Raqqah, the ISIS ‘capital’,… Read more »
