Hama, Syria (11:20 P.M.) – Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda franchise), backed by Faylaq Al-Sham and the Free Syrian Army (FSA), launched a counter-attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northern Hama countryside tonight, targeting Hills 30 and 50 near the town of Qamhana.

The jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Aqsa and Faylaq Al-Sham managed to capture Hills 30 and 50 (Tal Samam) tonight after a fierce battle with the Syrian Armed Forces and Iranian paramilitary fighters.

Following the capture of Hills 30 and 50, the jihadist rebels moved within 1 km of Qamhana’s western flank, leaving the Syrian Armed Forces with their backs against the wall as they prepare for another long night.

The Syrian Armed Forces captured Hill 50 earlier today after launching their own counter-offensive; however, they were unable to maintain control over this site as nightfall descended over the northern Hama countryside.

They didn’t capture Hama before, when the situation was much, much worse. They will not capture it now.
