BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – The leader of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt accused several pro-Syria politicians of blocking the formation of the Lebanese government.
Using Twitter, Joumblatt claimed that there was a “systematic campaign by the mouthpieces of the Syrian regime” to block the government’s formation.
“Things have become obvious to everyone. There is a systematic campaign by the mouthpieces of the Syrian regime to block the formation of the government, once through consultation and another through the invention of adding two ministers and other feeble excuses,” Jumblatt tweeted, as reported by Naharnet.
Jumblatt has long been an opponent of the Syrian government, often criticizing them via Twitter and interviews.
