BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham are on the verge of being at all out war in the Idlib Governorate after a recent streak of violence between the two factions inside this province.
To add fuel to the fire, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham sent a large convoy of reinforcements on Saturday to the jihadist-held town of Saraqib near the Aleppo Governorate border and Jabal Al-Zawiyah.
According to opposition activists in the Idlib Governorate, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham warned Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham in both Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Saraqib that they will defend themselves if they are attacked.
In addition to building up forces, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has arrested several Ahrar Al-Sham fighters inside Idlib City, while also blocking supply trucks from reaching the latter’s fronts in Jabal Al-Hoss, where they are fighting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham claims via social media that they have attempted to reach out to HTS regarding their aggression; however, these talks have allegedly failed.
