BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored several gains inside the southeastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate, Tuesday, as their forces managed to capture many areas from the jihadist rebels.

Led by elements of the Tiger Forces and 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by capturing the Air Defense Battalion and nearby hilltop of Tal Al-Aswad.

Following the capture of these sites, the Syrian Army managed to capture two more towns while also advancing towards the jihadist stronghold of Um Hariteen in the southeastern countryside of Idlib.

Since attacking Um Hariteen, the Syrian Army has managed to enter the town after a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, Jaysh Al-‘Izza and the Free Idlib Army.

According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Army killed over 30 jihadist rebels during Tuesday’s assault, including an estimated 20 militants alone from Jaysh Al-‘Izza.
