BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:20 P.M.) – Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) continued their advance inside the Idlib deescalation zone, today, after launching several attacks against the Turkish-backed rebels.

According to opposition activists via social media, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham seized another town from the Turkish-backed National Liberation Front (NLF) after overrunning their positions in northwestern Hama.

The opposition activists claimed that Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham captured the small town of Qastoun, following the the withdrawal of the National Liberation Front forces from the area.

As a result of this advance, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has now captured three towns from the National Liberation Front.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was able to make this advance in the Idlib deescalation zone as the Turkish Army watched from their observation post.

The Turkish Army has yet to get involved in this rebel infighting; however, there is a good chance that they will be pressured by their Russian partners to intervene and halt the jihadist advance.
