The Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the Syrian Marines, Desert Hawks Brigade, and National Defense Forces (NDF) – launched a powerful offensive on Wednesday morning to seize the last hilltops at Kabani.

The Syrian Armed Forces were unable to break-through the Jihadist front-lines at Kabani; however, they did enough damage to Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) defenses to force the extremist rebels to send a massive wave of reinforcements to northeastern Latakia.

According to a military source in Latakia, Jabhat Al-Nusra received a significant number of reinforcements from the nearby Al-Ghaab Plains (Sahl Al-Ghaab) in order to help protect this strategic mountaintop town from the Syrian Armed Forces.

In the coming hours, the Syrian Armed Forces are expected to attack this well-fortified town for the 9th time in 14 days.

The head-choppers know that loosing Kabani means opening up for Syrian army attack on Jisr al- Shughur. So they are throwing everything into the meatgrinder on hilltop 1154. A hilltop that is turning into a modern day Verdun. Just praying for that the resolve and willpower of the Head-choppers will be the first to break, but also believing that to be the eventual case as the head-choppers are “just” spoiling for 72 virgins in foreign lands while the SAA is defending their homeland – their daughters, mothers, families and friends.
