BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) had a rough day in the southern countryside of Idlib, Sunday, losing a large chunk of territory they previously captured from the jihadist rebels.

Led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party, the jihadist rebels managed to recapture 21 towns in southern Idlib on Sunday, forcing the Syrian Army to fall back in several areas in order to avoid being overrun.

According to a military source in nearby Hama, the jihadist rebels took advantage of the bad weather in the Idlib Governorate, today, scoring a big advance without any trouble from the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The Syrian Army is now attempting to regroup in order to reclaim this lost territory from the jihadist rebels.
