BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The jihadist special forces from the Ansar Al-Deen terrorist group were wiped ou in a joint Russian-Syrian airstrike on a large hilltop in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate this morning.
According to the preliminary details revealed to Al-Masdar, the jihadists were preparing to storm the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions near the large hilltop of Tal Malah when Russian and Syrian air force jets struck the militants.
Shortly after the attack near Tal Malah., several jihadist pages mourned the death of eight militants killed.
The jihadist pages claimed they were killed during clashes with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA); however, a military source said these militants were killed before they could launch their attack.
A source told Al-Masdar earlier this week that the jihadist death toll in northwestern Syria in July has exceeded the previous months in 2019.
While the Syrian Army has remained idle in northwestern Syria, the jihadist rebels have launched several failed attacks in July that have cost them several fighters.
