BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:40 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-‘Izza have suffered a string of defeats in the northern Hama countryside lately, leaving them with their backs against the wall at the provincial border with the Idlib Governorate.
On Monday morning, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale offensive in northern Hama, striking the jihadist defenses at the small village of Al-Massasneh near the key town of Morek.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army managed to break-through Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s main line of defense Al-Massasneh, resulting in the capture of this village by the government forces this afternoon.
As a result of today’s advance, the Syrian Arab Army is now at the outskirts of the jihadist stronghold of Al-Lataminah, which is located just south of the Idlib Governorate border.
