BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels launched several attacks in northwestern Hama on Thursday, striking the Syrian Armed Forces at a number of axes near the Idlib Governorate border.
In their latest attack in northwestern Hama, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched an operation to capture the town of Huwayz from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
However, similar to their previous attack on Qasabiyah, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was unable to penetrate the Syrian Army’s defenses after a fierce battle on Thursday.
According to a military source in northwestern Hama, the Syrian Army killed several jihadist rebels and destroyed at least one armored vehicle at the Huwayz axis.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s attacks in northwestern Syria on Thursday came as the Syrian Army prepares to launch a new operation to secure the eastern flank of Kafr Naboudeh.
