BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels in the western countryside of the Aleppo Governorate launched a new attack on the provincial capital last night, a source told Al-Masdar News.
Led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels heavily shelled the Al-Zahra’a Association Quarter of Aleppo, causing significant damage to a number of buildings.
According to the source in Aleppo city, several civilians were reportedly wounded as a result of this attack by the jihadist rebels on the Al-Zahra’a Association Quarter.
The Syrian Arab Army would later respond to the jihadist attack on Aleppo city with a barrage of surface-to-surface missiles towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions near the Al-Layramoun District.
Last night’s attack by the jihadist rebels marks the first time this week that they have launched an unprovoked attack on Aleppo city.
