BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a major security operation this morning that targeted the eastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
According to pro-opposition activists, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham began the security operation by storming several hideouts belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in the towns of Nayrab and Sarmin in eastern Idlib.
The operation has been reportedly somewhat successful, as Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was able to eliminate a couple Islamic State terrorists and two of their sleeper cells in Sarmin and Nayrab.

Among the sleeper cells uncovered by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, today, was the Islamic State hideout that was used to behead three of the former’s fighters two weeks ago.
This latest operation by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham comes just 48 hours after another one of their field commanders was mysteriously assassinated by unknown assailants in the Idlib Governorate.
The Islamic State is believed to be behind these mysterious assassinations against Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies in Idlib, as they have boasted about committing these attacks in the past via their official media wing.
