Jihadist rebels launch first attack on Aleppo city for first time in months (video)

BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:10 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched their first attack on government-held west Aleppo for the first time in several months on Sunday.

According to a Syrian military source, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched several mortar shells and rockets towards the Jamiyat Al-Zahra’a, Al-Khalidiyah, and Layramoun areas of west Aleppo.

This attack by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham on western Aleppo wounded many civilians and forced the Syrian and Russian forces to issue a powerful response.

The Russian Aerospace Forces responded to this attack by launching several airstrikes over HTS’ positions, forcing the latter to halt their assault on the government areas of west Aleppo.
