Hama, Syria (4:05 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda franchise), backed by the Free Syrian Army (FSA), reportedly captured the large village of Helfaya in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate after a flurry of clashes with the Syrian Armed Forces.

Jund Al-Aqsa and their allies managed to seize Helfaya after capturing three villages from the Syrian Arab Army along the main road to Mhardeh.

With the capture of Helfaya today, the jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Aqsa and the Free Syrian Army are now within striking distance of Mhardeh’s eastern flank.

It’s amazing how quickly they flee. They’ve just lost a massive amount of territory, while the SAA consider it an achievement to capture a single hill.
