BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:45 P.M.) – The Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants launched a surprise attack in the northern outskirts of Aleppo City, Saturday, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions at the Mallah Farms.

Hay’ay Tahrir Al-Sham attempted to storm the Syrian Army’s positions from the Castillo Highway before they were spotted by government scouts near the Mallah Farms.

The Syrian Arab Army was able to fend off the jihadist rebels before they could reach the Mallah Farms.

According to a military source in Aleppo, the Syrian Army foiled the jihadist attack, killing and wounding over ten militants in the process.

Saturday’s attack by the jihadist rebels on the Mallah Farms is another clear violation of the de-escalation agreement, but will likely not result in any reaction from the Russian military.
