BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:15 A.M.) – At least one civilian was killed and other ten were wounded when the jihadist rebels attacked the Shiite towns of Al-Zahra’a and Nubl in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo on Tuesday.

According to local members of the National Defense Forces (NDF), the jihadist rebels fired several missiles and mortar shells towards Al-Zahra’a and Nubl, violating the de-escalation zone agreement that prohibits these kind of attacks.

While no group has claimed responsibility for this attack, it is widely believed that the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group carried out the attack.

HTS is one of the largest jihadist groups currently operating in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo and they have targeted these two Shiite towns on several occasions in the past.
