DAMASCUS, SYRIA (7:15 P.M.) – Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham arrested 8 members of an allied jihadist group for allegedly cursing Islam in the Idlib Governorate, local activists reported on Wednesday.
The alleged incident occurred when a Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham emir told a group of Islamists from Darayya that their behavior was inappropriate.
The Darayya rebels then responded “are you going to teach a new religion?”
This remark prompted the jihadist emir to issue arrest warrants for the 8 Darayya rebels, claiming they “cursed” Islam in his presence.
No further details were reported by the Syrian opposition activists in Idlib.
