BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:40 P.M.) – Several Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers were killed this morning after a group of jihadist rebels carried out a powerful hit-and-run attack in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.
According to reports from the Latakia front, the jihadist rebels carried out a devastating attack against a group of Syrian Arab Army soldiers that were posted up in the Jabal Al-Akrad (var. Kurdish Mountains) region.
The hit-and-run attack was led by a group of jihadist rebels from the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham faction in the northern countryside of Latakia.
As of recently, the jihadist rebels have become increasingly hostile in the Latakia Governorate, launching several attacks against the Syrian Arab Army troops in the Jabal Al-Akrad and Jabal Turkmen (var. Turkmen Mountains) regions.
The Syrian Arab Army has yet to respond to this latest ceasefire violation in the Latakia countryside.
