BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:40 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, Jaysh Al-‘Izza, and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham launched a powerful counter-offensive on Thursday evening to recapture the key town of Taybat Al-Imam from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

However, despite the intensity of their attack, the jihadist rebels were unable to retake this town after several hours of battle against the Syrian forces in the vicinity of Taybat Al-Imam.

While jihadist activists alleged several government soldiers were killed, a local field journalist denied these claims, adding that Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies did little damage to their defenses.

The Syrian Arab Army is expected to launch an assault to retake the key town of Halfaya from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham today; however, they have only shelled the area so far this morning.

Congrats to the SAA for its great fighting – and thank you to God for answering our prayers to aid it as well as come against the terrorists.
