BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 A.M.) – Another jihadist commander was reportedly assassinated this week inside rural Idlib, pro-opposition activists reported.
The jihadist leader of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, Abu Mus’ab Al-Saheli, was killed on Friday when a group of unknown assailants opened fire on him and his associates.
Abu Mus’ab, nicknamed “Al-Nusayri”, was born to an Alawite family in the Latakia Governorate city of Qurdaha; he would later convert to Sunni Islam and join Jabhat Al-Nusra.
No group has claimed responsibility for the assassination.
