BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:40 P.M.) – At least 344 militants from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Souriya were killed as a result of infighting in northern Syria over the weekend, the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported this morning.

According to SOHR, at least 196 members of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and 148 members of Jabhat Tahrir Souriya were killed in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo and Idlib.

The high death toll comes after Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a massive offensive in the southern countryside of Idlib that targeted the town of Khan Sheikhoun and its surroundings.

In response to this HTS offensive, Jabhat Tahrir Souriya launched their own offensive in west Aleppo, seizing several points from their former allies in the process.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
