BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – One day after Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham sent a large number of reinforcements to west Aleppo, their jihadist foes from Jabhat Tahrir Souriya launched a big offensive against them inside this region of the province.

According to pro-opposition activists, Jabhat Tahrir Souriya stormed Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions at several axes in western Aleppo; this would result in a fierce battle between the two jihadist groups.

Jabhat Tahrir Souriya has reported that their forces managed to capture four areas from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, including the towns of Aajel, Jamiyat Al-Sa’diyah, and Al-Dabaa.

The militant group would also take control of the large hilltops of Tal Al-Numan near the key town of Daret Izza.

Previously, the two jihadist groups agreed to a week long ceasefire; however, once the seven days concluded, the two factions resumed their war in the Idlib and Aleppo governorates.
