BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:15 A.M.) – For the third time this week, the jihadist rebels attacked the besieged Shiite towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya in the Idlib Governorate.
Led by Saraya Darayya and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels stormed the towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya from three different axes last night.
However, this attack by the jihadist rebels would ultimately fail after several hours of intense clashes at the outskirts of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya.
According to the National Defense Forces (NDF), the jihadist rebels suffered a number of casualties during the attack, forcing them to ultimately retreat after failing to advance.
Saraya Darayya was a jihadist group that was previously fighting in the Damascus countryside before they were transported to northern Syria.
The aforementioned jihadist group led this offensive with their Uzbek allies in Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
