BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – US Vice President Mike Pence praised US relations with Israel s during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in Jerusalem on Monday, declaring “it is an honour for me to stand with you here today in Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Israel.”

Netanyahu thanked Pence and President Trump on their decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, praising the Vice President’s speech in the Israeli Knesset earlier today.

Mike Pence, who is on a two-day visit on Israel, also stated that Senate Democrats “chose to shut down” the US government “just to advance an issue pertaining to illegal immigration.”
