ALEPPO, SYRIA (10:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah and Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), launched a wide-scale offensive at the southern districts of Aleppo on Wednesday, striking a number of sites under the control of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest).
Led by the 4th Mechanized Division and Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies captured new sites in southern Aleppo after breaking through Jaysh Al-Fateh’s first line of defense.
According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent embedded with the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture the Old Ramouseh Offices and Fertilizer Factory; these sites had been under the control of the jihadists since late 2012.
However, despite these advances, the Syrian Armed Forces were unable to capture Hikmah Hill and Souq Al-Jebes after seizing large parts of these jihadist-controlled sites.
Jaysh Al-Fateh managed to reassert full control over the aforementioned sites, while also retaining control over some of the buildings they lost at the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project’s southern sector.
