The Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” has transferred the captured Syrian Air Force pilot, Khaled Said, from their possession to their ally “Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham” in the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
Jabhat Al-Nusra allegedly shot down Said’s SU-22 with an anti-aircraft missile (MANPAD) near the strategic town of Tal Al-‘Eiss earlier this week.
Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham will likely try to exchange Said to the Syrian Army for some captured rebel fighters in the custody of the Syrian authorities.
