The Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” – backed by the Free Syrian Army’s “1st Coastal Brigade” and Jaysh Al-Turkmen – launched a new offensive in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate on Sunday morning.

This new offensive by the extremist rebels will focus on the strategic village of ‘Ayn Al-Bayda, which is located in Jabal Al-Turkmen.

So far, Jabhat AL-Nusra and their allies have made little progress at this front; however, their assault is likely going to intensify in the coming hours as they make a major push southward.
