Reverse the roles … Would Israel allow a 400m incursion into their territory on either land or sea ? The answer is no! You can bet the Israeli military would CARE, they wouldn’t be as nonchalant as you are.
This is purely a provocative action by Israel.

@rebbe, either navigation error, provocation – as You assume – or it has to do with the dispute over the sea border and prospecting rights.

I’d go for 1 or 3.

@Karel, there is a territorial dispute because of oil rights and more.

By EU standards You’d laugh. But look to the Kerch straights – some see it differently.

There IS no territorial dispute just as there is legally no Israel but Palestine. You are very loose and apologetic for these incursions when in fact everyone following the ME knows well what it is. Would you feel Lebanon was wrong to enforce their territorial boundaries resulting in loss of life? If the IDF routinely kills unarmed fisherman what do you think they would do to being challenged for their illegal incursions? You are a BFL to posit that the IDF MAKES THE SAME NAVIGATION ERROR EVERY DAY. Lastly only since the discovery of wealth off the Lebanon cost has… Read more »

@GCG, I wonder why You as a guest get so exited to call me a liar, if the state Israel does not exist while Palestine does. The opposite is true. Face it – You have illusions of grandeur. Currently Palestine does not exist because the Arabs lost a war in 1948 and another in … and another in…

That makes You a BFL and not me.

The Muslims forget that they also stole land. That land is robbed is the fate of the weaker and justified in the Quran and the Bible. So stop whining.

God wanted it.

p.s. There is a dispute currently because Israel unilaterally changed the sea border between Israel and Lebanon. Israel wants ownership of some Lebanese gas exploration claims. And Israel has threatened EU firms that prospect there.
