BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 A.M.) – The Israeli Air Force conducted several flights inside of Lebanon, yesterday, prompting both the Syrian and Lebanese air defenses to remain on high alert due to the air activity.
According to a military source in Syria, the Israeli warplanes were stalking the Syrian border after flying from southern Lebanon to the Beqa’a Valley region.
The Israel warplanes originally entered Lebanese airspace and circled the Nabatieh Governorate and Litani River region.
The Israeli warplanes would then fly from Nabatieh to the Beqa’a Valley, where they would fly close to the Syrian provinces of Damascus and Homs.
While they did not cross into Syrian territory, they did repeatedly fly along the border, which raised the alert levels in Damascus.
