DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:48 A.M)- The Gaza Strip came under attack again tonight, as Israeli warplanes and artillery, opened fire upon targets throughout the besieged coastal enclave.
The Israeli shellings were primarily reported to have taken place in the East of Gaza, in the Zeitoun neighborhoods and surround al-Bureij Refugee Camp.
A confirmed civilian injury, reported to the Press by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, is being treated at the al-Shifa hospital. Emergency response units are still searching the scene, no more information on injuries or deaths have been confirmed.
The IDF claim that these attacks were in response to an explosion of a roadside bomb, earlier that day, no injuries were reported.
An IDF Military spokesman claimed that, Israel “will continue to act with all means at its disposal in order to ensure the security of the citizens of Israel”, this was in response to a device which detonated inside the Gaza border and did no damage, causing no injuries.
Israel claims that Hamas is responsible for the explosion and used this as justification for immediate tank fire retaliation.
