BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) – The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have sent reinforcements to the Gazan border this morning after launching their largest attack of the year on the Palestinian territories.
The Jerusalem Post quoted the IDF’s 7th armored brigade as saying they “would be ready to act as an offensive force within the Gaza Division.”
The IDF allegedly struck 230 targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, killing over five people, including a pregnant woman.
The Al-Quds Brigade also confirmed that two of their members were killed during the heavy bombardment of the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
Local activists in Gaza said the Israeli air and naval forces targeted many areas across the strip last night, including densely populated neighborhoods in the region.
Should the Israeli Defense Forces launch an invasion of the Gaza Strip, it would mark the first time since 2014 that their troops have entered the strip.
