BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – An Israeli fighter jet was once again spotted over Lebanese airspace this week, despite Lebanon’s objections to these violations of its sovereignty.
According to the National News Agency (NNA) of Lebanon, Israeli warplanes were spotted over the southern region of Lebanon on Thursday, as the warplanes flew over the Blue Line and entered the Nabatieh Governorate.
Video footage was later shared on social media of an Israeli Air Force F-15 fighter jet flying over Lebanese airspace on Thursday:

While Lebanon objects to the repeated violations by the Israeli Air Force, they are not able to deter them militarily because they lack the air defense weapons needed to halt the overflights.
Israel has taken advantage of Lebanon’s weak air defenses to conduct overflights on a daily basis, while occasionally targeting neighboring Syria from Lebanese airspace.
