BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:20 P.M.) – The Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev stated on Tuesday that the Israeli airstrikes on Syria were ‘undesirable’, pointing out that they were endangering the safety of his country’s military personnel.

In turn, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured Russia during a speech on Tuesday that their personnel were not in danger, adding that his country has acted over 100 times in Syria to prevent Iranian arms from reaching Hezbollah.

On September 17th, 2018, a Russian reconnaissance plane was accidentally shot down by the Syrian Armed Forces along the Latakia coast.

The Russian Ministry of Defense blamed Israel for the death of its personnel, claiming that an IAF F-16 used the IL-20 reconnaissance plane for cover during the Syrian Air Force’s response to their airstrikes.

Following the downing of the IL-20, the Russian Ministry of Defense agreed to ship their S-300 air defense system to Syria. The S-300 arrived in Syria on October 1st; however, it has yet to be used in combat.

BLAHBLAHBLAH Russia onlyprotects its interests in Syria and so do ALL ACTORS. Iran seeks empire building on budget, Erdogan wants to steal oil+gas in Syria+Iraq, Russia wants to avoid atar+Iran gas reaching the EU by pipelines, EU wants to liquidate terrorists, Israel fights for its survival as usual… “It is narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar (‘Abdullah b. ‘Umar) that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) observed: Verily Islam started as something strange and it would again revert (to its old position) of being strange just as it started, and it would recede between the two mosques… Read more »

Parece que Rusia teme o tiene miedo, lo primero que debió hacer es romper relaciones con Israel.

All the Russian government officials and high ranking Russian military personnel say the same thing, everyone get out of Syria and stop endangering Russia and her allies security, but Putin alone keeps up the mantra of reconciliation with the rebels, corroboration with the Israelis, kowtow to the US and Turkey, but no one else in his government or his military ever say that. Putin alone repeats that same old lines over and over again, reconciliation with the rebels, new Syrian constitution, resolution 2254, Israeli security concerns, Turkish security concerns, but all the rest of the Russians just say F off… Read more »

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Impossible!!!! Russia would end losing, just for the natural gas, 36% of its exports, since 36% of Russian exports is the nat-gas sent to EU by pipelines. Iran+Qatar having smaller population with less fees than Russia, they could sell gas cheaper than Russia already does… Add oil, and it’d be even worse. The only other thing that could be done to prevent it to happen would be to create interdiction zones preventing the building of any pipeline between Iran and Qatar that may link with the EU… Here it is how to create this : This is the modelised… Read more »
