Gaza, Palestine (4:45 A.M.) – The Israeli Air Force conducted 30+ airstrikes over the Gaza Strip on Sunday night after a rocket struck the Israeli border-city of Sderot.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, a rocket fired from Gaza landed near a family home in the city of Sderot on Sunday afternoon, resulting in a harsh response from the Israeli Armed Forces.
No casualties or damages were reported in Sderot; however, in retaliation for the rocket attack, the Israeli Armed Forces chose to bomb the densely populated neighborhoods inside Gaza City.
A half dozen people were reportedly wounded in Gaza due to these continuous airstrikes launched by the Israel Air Force.
The organization responsible for the rocket attack in Sderot on Sunday was Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis, which is a Palestinian militant group with close ties to Al-Qaeda.
Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis most recently participated in the Syrian Conflict by attacking the government forces and fellow Palestinian paramilitary groups in the Yarmouk Camp District of southern Damascus; they were eventually expelled by their own Islamist allies.
