BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 P.M.) – The commander of the Israeli Air Force Major General Amikam Norkin arrived in Moscow, today, to meet with his Russian counterpart and discuss the downing of the IL-20 aircraft.
Citing the Spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Jonathon Conricus, the Sputnik News Agency reported that Norkin is in talks with the Russian command in order to increase coordination between their two countries in Syria.
Furthermore, Conricus told Sputnik that Norkin is sharing the data related to the downing of the Russian IL-20 by the Syrian forces.
Earlier today, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement that called for preserving the ongoing cooperation between Russia and Israel.
“I decided to send the Air Force commander to Moscow with a double purpose: to continue to protect our citizens while preserving cooperation between our countries,” Netanyahu said in a statement released by his office.
