BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 A.M.) – The Israeli Air Force carried out a massive assault over the southern part of the Gaza Strip tonight, striking several points near the Rafah Crossing.

According to the Spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), their air force specifically struck a “Hamas compound” in southern Gaza.

“A short while ago, IAF fighter jets struck military targets in a Hamas compound in the southern Gaza Strip,” the IDF Spokesperson tweeted.

“The strike was conducted in response to the incident that took place earlier today, in which suspects infiltrated Israel & attempted to damage security infrastructure,” the IDF Spokesperson added.

The event the IDF Spokesperson is referring to is when a group of Palestinians crossed a fence in Gaza earlier today and setup a tent with a sign that referenced the March of Return
