BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) – The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation “Makan” revealed on Friday, the inauguration of the new Israeli intelligence contingent that will be called “Unit 9900”.
The broadcaster noted that the army launched the “visual intelligence” committee, which uses artificial intelligence technology to analyze and integrate information during the war, and the Israeli army has indicated will provide the combat forces with an intelligence and visual image of the battlefield from its computers.
Makan pointed out that the intelligence unit, with its ability to use artificial intelligence technology to analyze and integrate intelligence information, collects its intel from a variety of sources, such as “satellites, drones, sensors and humanitarian sources in a comprehensive and unified form,” and the combat forces receive a copy during the battle.
The broadcasting organization said that this intelligence unit allows combat units to face challenges on the new battlefield and plan ground maneuvering with a device that simulates the battlefield.
Makan quoted its military correspondent as saying that this unit comes within the framework of the new five-year plan of the Israeli army, to be led by a special fighting body that combines the intelligence and combat levels.
