Israel is prepared to take further action against Iranian targets in Syria to prevent Iran’s gaining a military stronghold in that country, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.

“Just in the last 36 hours, the air force attacked Iranian warehouses with Iranian weapons at the international airport in Damascus. The accumulation of recent attacks proves that we are determined more than ever to take action against Iran in Syria, just as we promised,” he said as quoted by his office.

“Overnight, the air force also attacked on the southern front against Hamas targets in Gaza and this morning we announced the exposure of an additional tunnel, a main tunnel, perhaps the most important, that crossed the border into our territory. We are thus approaching the completion of the goal we set at the outset of Operation Northern Shield – the eradication of Hezbollah’s tunnels weapon,” he said.

At a weekly cabinet meeting earlier in the day, Netanyahu admitted that Israel had delivered airstrikes against Iranian targets at Damascus’ international airport over the past 36 hours. He also said that the Israel Defense Force had attacked Iranian and Hezbollah targets “hundreds of times.”

Nope, they have the right to do so! Iran funds and arms Hezbollah and Hamas to attack Israel and is doing this for decades.
This violates the Hague Convention and is a de facto declaration of war by Iran.
To be Frank, was I Israeli PM, on any Hezb or Hamas rocket or shell falling into Israel, I’d shoot cruise missiles against governmental facilities in Iran, period!
I’d probably had also sent submarines to sink the South-Pars gas platforms and oil terminals.

Putin himself said Iranian attitude towards Israel is intolerable and counterproductive, and he’s 100% right about it. Read the Hague Convention that Iran actually ratified : it says that if you fund a militia in order to attack a country, it’s just like directly declaring war. It’s exactly what Iran and Syria do through Hezbollah and Iran through Hamas and PIJ. Israel has let things go in Syria since they didn’t wanted Assad being ousted, now that SAA don’t need IRGC+Hezb help, now Iranian IRGC militia is getting a loooong overdue bütt kicking… The shitlamists who are they bosses believe… Read more »

Iran’s advisors and Hezbollah should continue to help out the Syrian Government and the SAA. For that, the Israelis are bombing Syria unprovoked.
Israel in the past has threatened to bomb Iran. The Iranian al Quds advisors and Hezbollah will keep Israel busy in their northern border. I predict that not too far in the future when both the al Quds and Hezbollah have finished with the foreign backed jihadis in Syria they will turn to improving their defenses against Israel and be prepared to attack back.

@FairsFair, if the Shiite allies of Syria are sensible and want well for Syria, they’d go home after doing the job against the Sunni Gulf payed terrorists. They achieved victory against all odds.

p.s. Iran’s military budget cannot sustain to attack back against a power that can spend 3 times as much. And the Sultan’s ghazi not IDF stand in line next with an appetite for Syrian blood and soil.
